Zithromax is considered not for treating acne thats why every sufferer does not get positive response form this medicines. But many people find it effective. But due to its side effects dermatologist reluctant to prescribe it.
If you have any allergic reation to one of the following medicine then it will be advised not to use Zithromax.
Erythromycin, clarithromycin or other other macrolide antibiotics.
If you have liver or kidney disease, heart rhythm disorder, and history of long QT problem then discuss it with your dermatologist before starting this treatment. Dermatologist may not prescribe you this medicine or may monitor you regularly by different tests.
If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or breast feeding your baby, tell your dermatologist before starting this medicine.
Do not take this medicine without dermatologist prescription. Take dosage as prescribed. Do not over dose of it as it may harm you severely.
Hives; difficulty in breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat are side effects of this medicine and if you feel any one of them then take emergency treatment form your dermatologist. If you notice any of these side effects then stop taking medicine immediately and tell your doctor, diarrhea, chest pain, uneven heartbeatsnausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Some are minor side effects which do not need stop medication but need to discuss it with doctor. In this category side effects include mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach pain; dizziness, tired feeling, or headache; mild itching or skin rash.
Due to its severe side effects and its cost, it is suggested that do not take this medicine as a first treatment. If you do not get any positive response from all other medicines then go for it but it is better that you go for a more natural treatment.
